Newport Mall showcases Ronald Castrillo’s wonderfully dreamy brass sculptures

Newport Mall is celebrating National Arts Month with a grand showcase featuring the brass sculptures of contemporary artist Ronald Castrillo.

The works of Ronald Castrillo, one of the premier sculptors of his generation, are currently featured and are for sale exclusively at Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila until February 28, 2021.

The 56-year-old Pinoy sculpting pioneer has been creating art since the age of 10, as influenced by his father Amado Castrillo — a well-regarded writer, illustrator, and sculptor. Ronald then went on to graduate from PATTS School of Aeronautics, with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering Major in Aircraft design. With his technical know-how and passion for the craft that began at a very young age, he has become a master at combining his “artistic process and technical knowledge to create unrivaled sculptures and pieces of art”.

Ronald’s ongoing exhibit “Arts by the Garden” at Newport Mall features his newest collection, that consists of 13 of his one-of-a-kind pieces. The exhibit is also the very first public viewing event for the collection. Clients can also purchase the pieces at a special introductory price at RWM Exclusives (, which is Resort World Manila’s official online sales channel until February 28 only!

His works “Achievement Beyond Belief”, “Together We Rise”, and “Towards Success” among others, spark inspiration and hope. The exquisite array also let visitors immerse themselves in a world of imagination that is manifested into three-dimensional realities. Marvel at how Ronald has shaped metal into the most beautiful lines and curves! Guests can relish his art pieces at 2/F Garden Wing, Newport Mall until February 28.

Then, from March 1-11, the exhibition will expand with the addition of more unique collaboration pieces between Ronald and his daughter Karen Castrillo-Villaseñor.

Karen, who grew up “to the sound of sander and brass hammering” every morning has always been his father’s protege. She said, “As his eldest I’ve become his partner in his art journey and officially worked with him since 2014. Exploring new ideas to share more of his passion in arts, I started helping him with new concept ideas.”

An accomplished artist herself, Karen incorporated the use of copper, healing crystals, and gems to his father’s classic brass sculptures. For her, the fusion of the contrasting materials make the masterpieces “extraordinary”.

Visit the Castrillo collaboration exhibit titled “Shaping Wonders & Dreams” at The Plaza, Newport Mall and experience the limitless possibilities and inspirations that art can bring.
