Lucky Chinatown celebrates best of Asian flicks and movies with annual Asian Fest


With so many trips cancelled, everyone surely misses going places. Luckily, your Asian itinerary could easily be satisfied by binge-watching different K-dramas and browsing through different Japanese animated films.

To quell that travel bug, Lucky Chinatown once again brings Asia to you with its annual Asian Fest. This year’s festivities at Asian Fest 2020: Ready for Reel will make you experience food, music and craft straight from Asian flicks and series!

Experience Asia

Start exploring Asia at the heart of Binondo from Aug. 21 to Sept. 6. Savor the flavor from Asian flicks at Reel Asian Food featuring dishes from different dining establishments that are inspired by famous Asian drama and films. Want those pastel colored kitchenware, dainty accessories and everything cute? Score items from Asian retail tenants at All Things Asian.

If you find yourself feeling nostalgic about traveling and going on food crawls, share how you are able to capture sites and delights at Lucky Chinatown for a chance to win prizes. Post your recent pictures at any iconic spot or with any Asian food at Lucky Chinatown featuring your stylish face mask or protective gear. From Aug. 21 to Sept. 6, you could also enjoy the showcase of Asian arts and crafts. Browse through some snaps of glammed up Japanese dolls at All Dolled Up on Aug. 31.  Witness local artists perform top soundtracks from Asian flicks at OST-oke. Catch Vennise Sy, Jayson Kiong, Joshe and Ann Sandig perform their own rendition of familiar OSTs.

A showdown of the best Asian talents awaits you at the Clash of Talents from Aug. 17 to Sept. 7. Share a photo of your winning cosplay look at Capture Kawaii: A Cosplay Photo Contest.  Be the star of your own K-Drama at Recreate Your K-Idol.
