New SUVs expand brand’s presence in the country’s growing electrified vehicle market
Following its standout showcase at the Manila International Auto Show 2026, DENZA Philippines officially introduces the all-new B5 and B8, marking a significant step in the brand’s expansion into the country’s fast-evolving electrified vehicle landscape.
Launched under the “Adventure Electrified” campaign, the all-new B5 and B8 signal DENZA’s entry into the competitive SUV segment. Both models are designed to deliver a strong combination of electrified efficiency, everyday practicality, and real all-terrain capability—appealing to Filipino drivers seeking more refined yet versatile mobility options, suitable in any lifestyle.
According to Adam Hu, Country Head of BYD and DENZA Philippines, the launch represents a key milestone for the brand. “The introduction of the all-new DENZA B5 and B8 is an important milestone for us in the Philippines. These vehicles allow us to connect with a wider range of customers– especially those looking for SUVs that offer not just functional benefits of a new energy vehicle, but the emotional benefits of owning one.
DENZA B5: Bravery in Motion
The DENZA B5 is a midsize plug-in hybrid SUV built on the brand’s DMO Super Hybrid technology. It pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a dual-motor system, delivering 425 kW and 760 Nm of torque.
With a 31.8-kWh BYD Blade battery and an 83-liter fuel tank, the B5 offers a combined NEDC range of up to 975 kilometers—making it ideal for both daily commutes and long-distance drives.
Designed for versatility, it features four-wheel drive, front and rear electronically-controlled locking differentials—ensuring confidence across varying road conditions.
Inside, the B5 balances comfort and technology with a large infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, and head-up display. A 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and panoramic sunroof enhance the driving experience, while advanced driver assistance features help make every journey safer and more intuitive. It is also equipped with massage and ventilated seats, providing a more relaxing and refined ride.
DENZA B8: Built to Lead
The DENZA B8 takes capability further as a full-size SUV, available in Dynamic and Premium variants. It combines a 2.0-liter engine with a dual-motor system, producing 450 kW and 760 Nm of torque, and accelerating from 0–100 kph in just 4.8 seconds.
Equipped with a larger 36.9-kWh battery and a 91.5-liter fuel tank, the B8 delivers a combined NEDC range of up to 1,040 kilometers—built for extended journeys with ease.
The all-new B8 features the DiSus-P Intelligent Damping Suspension paired with an electronically controlled locking differential system. This advanced setup continuously monitors road conditions, vehicle dynamics, and driver inputs, automatically adjusting suspension stiffness in real time. By adapting damping force on each wheel independently, it enhances ride comfort over rough or uneven terrain while maintaining optimal body control.
At the same time, the electronically controlled locking differential improves traction by intelligently distributing torque between the wheels, especially in low-grip situations such as loose gravel, wet roads, or off-road environments. Together, these systems work seamlessly to deliver a smoother, more composed ride, increased stability during cornering, and greater confidence across a wide range of driving conditions—without compromising performance or control
Inside, the B8 leans into a more premium experience, offering a larger infotainment display with smartphone connectivity, power-adjustable seats, dual wireless chargers, a built-in refrigerator, and a surround-view camera system. Also equipped with massage and ventilated seats, enhancing comfort for both driver and passengers.

Completing the ecosystem, the all-new B5 and B8 are both supported by the DENZA App, which keeps owners connected to their vehicles anytime, anywhere. It allows users to monitor key vehicle information such as status, charging and fuel levels, and location, while also enabling access to smart controls—delivering greater convenience, control, and peace of mind throughout ownership.
And built to go beyond city roads, the all-new DENZA B5 and B8 are engineered for true real-world off-road capability. They feature four-wheel drive, front and rear electronically controlled locking differentials, and a full suite of terrain response modes such as Mud, Sand, Rock, Water Wading and other modes—giving drivers the confidence to handle a wide range of driving conditions with ease.
Both models also come equipped with advanced maneuvering technologies like Leopard Turn, enabling sharper turning in tight and challenging environments, along with greater agility for narrow trails and sharp U-turns. Combined with advanced suspension and control systems, they deliver enhanced stability, precision, and control across rough and uneven terrain—positioning both SUVs as strong alternatives to traditional ICE off-road vehicles.

EXPERIENCE DENZA ARENA
Customers are invited to experience the DENZA B5 and B8 firsthand at the DENZA Arena Customer Test Drive Event from April 24 to 26, 10 AM to 7 PM.
Exclusive premiere pricing for the all-new DENZA B5 and B8 can only be availed through reservation made during the event, giving customers the opportunity to experience the vehicles while securing special launch offers on-site, with the DENZA B5 offered at ₱ 3,498,000 and the DENZA B8 available at ₱ 4,698,000 (Dynamic) and ₱ 5,098,000 (Premium).
The test area will feature real-world challenges—including steep inclines, water wading, side slopes, and uneven terrain—allowing customers to experience the vehicles’ performance firsthand.
As part of the event, a ceremonial handover of the all-new DENZA B5 and B8 was held for the first 30 customers, marking an important milestone and reflecting the positive reception from early customers.
