Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) joined the Social Security System (SSS) in bringing digital banking closer to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) during the SSS Global Kabayan Day held on Sept. 12-14 in Hong Kong.
At the three-day event, RCBC assisted OFWs in applying for their MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech, introducing them to a three-in-one solution that combines access to SSS digital services, a digital banking account, and a physical debit card.
RCBC also introduced SSS LoanLite, an upcoming digital lending facility that will allow qualified SSS members to apply for microloans ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱20,000 at the maximum repayment term of 90 days through the RCBC DiskarTech platform.
The MySSS Card is designed to make SSS services and everyday financial transactions more accessible through a single card. Developed by SSS and RCBC, it gives members a DiskarTech digital banking account and a debit card that can be used for everyday payments.
For OFWs, the card provides a convenient way to stay connected to their SSS services and access digital banking even while working and living outside the Philippines.
“Our goal is to make digital banking work for Filipinos wherever they may be. For our OFWs, that means making essential financial services more accessible even when they are thousands of miles away from home,” said Lito Villanueva, RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer.
“Through our partnership with SSS, we are bringing the MySSS Card directly to our kababayans and introducing them to digital tools that can help them manage their finances more conveniently. With SSS LoanLite also coming soon to DiskarTech, we are expanding the ways we can support their financial needs,” Villanueva added.
RCBC’s participation in Global Kabayan Day builds on its partnership with SSS in advancing financial inclusion and bringing digital financial services closer to Filipino workers.
The MySSS Card has also received recent industry recognition, including the Best Growth Strategy in Digital Banking in the Philippines at The Asian Banker Philippine Awards 2026 and a Philippine Quill Award for Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication.
