CIC to Conduct Webinar on Rebuilding Credit, Business Loan Basics in Celebration of Credit Consciousness Week

The Credit Information Corporation (CIC), the country’s  sole public credit registry and repository of credit information, continues its CIC  Academy year 3 webinar series with “#CREDITREADY: Rebuilding your credit  history and the basics of business loans,” on 28 April from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM  via Zoom and Facebook Live. 

In line with this year’s celebration of the Credit Consciousness Week pursuant to  Presidential Proclamation No. 568 series of 1995, the webinar will tackle various ways  of improving credit history, its effects on access to cost-effective financial products and  services, as well as the basics of business loans. 

“This upcoming Credit Consciousness Week, we want to underscore the usefulness  of credit as a valuable financial tool and of one’s credit history in achieving financial  goals, especially to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who benefit the  most from improved access to capital ,” CIC President and CEO Ben Joshua A.  Baltazar said. 

The PCEO added that in 2022, almost 6 million CIC Credit Reports were requested by  CIC’s 157 accessing entities for use in their credit-decisioning activities.
