With only 30 days left until the September 30 voters’ registration deadline, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines, the first nationally organized leadership development organization in Asia, calls on the youth and all eligible voters to register for the 2022 polls.
The next 30 days will be very critical to the turnout of the electoral process. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC)said it has 61.06 million registered voters. Data from thePhilippine Statistics Authority (PSA) data shows there are still 13 million potential voters who remain unregistered.[1]
The youth, being one of the largest voting blocs,“can literally dictate the shape of the government, said COMELEC Spokesperson James Jimenez during theAmbagan ng Bayan Facebook live session. Jimenez also pointed out that with the idealism, passion to get socially involved and voting power of the Filipino youth, they can take the lead in improving the nation.
