Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) earned the Four Golden Arrow Award from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for the third consecutive year, recognizing governance practices that reinforce accountable leadership, responsible decision-making, and the protection of stakeholder interests.
“Good corporate governance goes beyond compliance with established standards. It is about doing what is right, making sound decisions, and being accountable to those who place their trust in us. This recognition affirms our commitment to upholding these principles and making them integral to how we conduct our business,” said Metrobank Compliance Head Arnulfo Pascioles Jr.
The award underscores Metrobank’s sustained commitment to embedding accountability, fairness, transparency, and ethical leadership in how it conducts its business. This recognition reinforces the responsibility to uphold sound governance throughout the organization—from Board oversight to everyday business decisions. Through these practices, the Bank seeks to preserve the trust of its customers and shareholders while supporting the long-term interests of the communities it serves.
The Golden Arrow Awards is an annual honor given by the Institute of Corporate Directors to publicly listed companies and insurance companies for their corporate governance practices. The assessment is based on the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) and Corporate Governance Scorecard (CGS), which evaluate publicly disclosed information on shareholder rights, stakeholder relations, transparency, and board responsibilities.
