Jollibee Group Named One of TIME’s World’s Best Companies for the Third Time

The Jollibee Group has once again been recognized in TIME magazine’s World’s Best Companies 2025 list, marking the company’s third consecutive inclusion in the prestigious global ranking.

The annual list, compiled by TIME and Statista, honors companies worldwide that stand out for excellence in employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability (ESG). Jollibee Group emerged as a distinguished honoree once again, underscoring its continued growth and commitment to its people and stakeholders.

“Being recognized for the third consecutive year in TIME’s World’s Best Companies List is a true honor for the Jollibee Group,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, Jollibee Group Global President and Chief Executive Officer. “This recognition reflects the passion of our teams around the world who live out our purpose of spreading joy through superior taste. It also strengthens our resolve to continue building a sustainable and inclusive organization where our people, partners, and communities can thrive.”

According to the global data and business intelligence platform Statista, companies were assessed based on three key dimensions, namely employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability transparency or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The scores of all three dimensions were added on an equal percentage basis to form the final ranking score of a maximum of 100 points. The 1,000 companies with the highest score were awarded as the World’s Best Companies of 2025.

The Jollibee Group ranked 685th overall worldwide, with a “High” mark in revenue growth. The Group ranked 211th in employee satisfaction, a significant improvement from its 425th ranking last year.

“We are encouraged by the continued improvement in our employee satisfaction scores, which affirms the strength of our people-first culture. This is consistent with our repeated recognition as a Gallup Exceptional Workplace and reflects the impact of our People Agenda—anchored on employee welfare, learning and development, engagement, and support programs so team members feel valued and joyful at work,” Tanmantiong said.

Global Growth

With 19 food and beverage brands operating over 10,000 stores across 33 countries, the Jollibee Group is one of the world’s fastest-growing restaurant companies. It delivered strong Q2 2025 results, with system-wide sales climbing 19.6% to Php 114.5B and revenues up 15.5%, fueled by robust same-store growth and a surge in international business.

The Group’s operating income rose 19.1% to Php 6.0B, while net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company grew 5.6% to Php 3.2B.

At the end of June 2025, the global store count expanded 45.5% year-on-year to over 10,000, with franchising now making up 69% of the network, reinforcing the Group’s shift toward a capital-light, high-growth model.

Recognized Employer of Choice

Through its dedicated People Agenda, the Jollibee Group ensures engagement at multiple levels, from personal and team to the company and community. The Group’s consistent inclusion in TIME’s World’s Best Companies comes on the heels of other significant awards. It is a 4-time recipient of the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Awardee—the only Philippine-based company to be honored—and was also recognized as the Employer of the Year 2024 by the People Management Association of the Philippines.

Commitment to Sustainability

The recent recognition by TIME and Statista also reflects the Jollibee Group’s growing emphasis on sustainability and ESG practices.

The Jollibee Group’s global sustainability agenda, Joy for Tomorrow, is anchored on three key pillars: Food, People, and Planet. These efforts are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

For Food pillar: The Jollibee Group ensures product integrity and consumer trust through its global Food, Safety, and Cleanliness (FSC) Validation System. In 2024, the Group completed over 11,000 onsite audits worldwide across stores, commissaries, and logistics facilities.

For People pillar: Through the Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP), smallholder farmers have been empowered with training and market access, enabling them to supply a significant portion of vegetables—including nearly a quarter of the Group’s onion requirements—helping uplift rural communities and strengthen local value chains.

For Planet pillar: The Group has expanded its use of renewable energy across Philippine manufacturing facilities, while steadily cutting its environmental footprint, achieving reductions since 2020 of 31.9% in energy-use ratio, 32.5% in water-use ratio, and 44% in waste generation, alongside zero-waste-to-landfill status at its Mang Inasal commissary in Bulacan, Philippines.

The Jollibee Group was recently ranked No. 1 in the Philippines for Sustainability Perception Value by Brand Finance, a global leader in brand valuation. The recognition underscores the strength of the Group’s sustainability reputation and the tangible value it creates for its brand.

The Jollibee Group’s third straight appearance on TIME’s World’s Best Companies list reflects its people-first culture, strong global growth, and rising reputation as a trusted brand. Guided by its purpose of spreading joy, the company remains committed to uplifting employees, customers, and communities worldwide
