Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) received a “Highly Commended” citation from Hong Kong-based financial publication FinanceAsia for its digital banking initiatives during the FinanceAsia Awards 2026 held on May 25.
Under the Domestic Banks–Philippines category, RCBC was recognized in the “Best Bank for Use of Technology” segment for its suite of digital financial solutions, including RCBC Pulz, RCBC DiskarTech, and RCBC ATM Go.
FinanceAsia, which has recognized financial institutions across the region for more than two decades, described its awards program as a benchmark for excellence in banking innovation across Asia.
RCBC highlighted several digital-first initiatives aimed at expanding financial access among Filipinos, particularly underserved and unbanked sectors.

Among these initiatives were the Philippines’ first U.S. Virtual Account for Filipinos without a U.S. address or residency through RCBC Pulz, the MySSS Mastercard Debit Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech, and Southeast Asia’s first manual cash withdrawal service for international and domestic tourists through RCBC ATM Go. According to the bank, the products were designed to address persistent financial inclusion gaps, citing World Bank data showing that only half of Filipinos owned a basic deposit account as of 2025.
“We are honored by FinanceAsia’s recognition of RCBC’s digital transformation efforts. RCBC’s purpose-led and value-driven innovations ensure that we don’t innovate for innovation’s sake, focusing instead on solutions that truly make an impact on the lives of our countrymen,” said Reggie Cariaso, President and Chief Executive Officer of RCBC.

RCBC said the platforms continue to post strong adoption and transaction growth as digital banking usage accelerates across the country.
Lito Villanueva, Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer of RCBC, said the recognition affirms the bank’s broader push to make digital banking more accessible to Filipinos.
“We thank FinanceAsia for recognizing RCBC’s efforts to develop digital banking solutions that expand financial access and create meaningful impact for the Filipinos,” Villanueva said.
RCBC has continued expanding its digital banking footprint through alternative banking channels, embedded finance solutions, and financial inclusion initiatives targeting communities with limited access to traditional banking services.
