The Mind Museum and NutriAsia show that better futures are possible in Playtales: Reimagining Tomorrows

For 14 years, The Mind Museum and  NutriAsia have   shared  a  strong  and   meaningful partnership  rooted  in  promoting science education, Filipino innovation, and  cultural  appreciation through engaging learning experiences.  NutriAsia,  being  a  founding   donor  of  The  Mind  Museum, has  been extraordinarily collaborative  in  creating  interactive initiatives  which  culminated in their  joint project – The Catsup Museum in 2017.  Together, they  continue to inspire curiosity   and   learning   by  combining  The  Mind  Museum’s expertise  in  science communication  through  design  and   language,  with  NutriAsia’s commitment  to celebrating Filipino heritage and  food innovation. This year, they are powering a new joint project – Playtales: Reimagining Tomorrows.

A  world  of  imagination,  creativity,   and   collaboration comes  alive  as   The  Mind Museum, together  with  co-presenter  NutriAsia,  launches  Playtales:  Reimagining Tomorrows, an immersive exhibition  that  brings  a uniquely  Filipino vision of multiple aspects of the future to life through play.

At its core,  Playtales is anchored on a powerful  idea: the future for our country is not predetermined – it is something we shape and  build together, especially with Filipino children.      Through   mindfully  designed,  immersive environments and   interactive storytelling, the  exhibition  shows how  people, communities, and  nature can  work hand   in  hand—using shared  knowledge, cooperation,  and   creativity   to  shape a better  world,  sustained  not   only  by  a  balanced  nature  but   also   by  the  art  of gathering and  cooperation with fellow humans.

Designed as  a vibrant,  hands-on experience for families, Playtales invites children  to explore a series of imaginative zones of familiar aspects of lives – from planting  to cooking  to   eating,  music  and   play  where   learning   to  live  better  through  play seamlessly come together.

Playtales’ Community Garden  and  Kitchen,  inspired by  Filipino values  of  sharing and  food  features a bamboo zome  structure inspired by the  bahay  kubo,  the space allows   children    to  harvest,  cook,    plant,    and    “sell”   vegetables.  Nearby,    the Eco-Essentials zone   reimagines the  traditional sari-sari store  of  the  future,  built using  recycled materials and  bamboo elements. It features everyday pantry  items, local  food  inspirations, and  playful  reinterpretations of  familiar essentials,  making sustainability both  imaginative and  relatable.

Set   within  a  distinctly   Filipino  context,  Playtales highlights   local  ways   of  living, problem-solving, and  community-building—making big  ideas more  accessible and exciting  for young learners. In the  Eco-Essentials and  kitchen  experiences,  playful recreations   of   everyday   NutriAsia   products   further    bridge    imagination   with familiarity.

Guests will also  step into Mind S-Cool  in “Playtales”, the  physical extension of The Mind Museum’s digital  learning  platform,  where  children  can  explore shadow play, cozy   reading  nooks, oversized  storybooks,  and   interactive  exhibits   that   spark imagination while highlighting  the importance of biodiversity.

The  journey  continues in the  Music  Tower,  a bamboo-built installation showcasing local    instruments   from    across   the    Philippines,  encouraging   rhythm,    sound exploration, and cultural  appreciation. In the  Fishing  Area, children  will discover the deep connection between people and  water,  reflecting how nature is part of who we are and  how we live.

“Playtales proves the  soft  but  time-traveling power  of imagination  in wiring human minds without  (laughing) the need for brain surgery.  Imaginative  designs that inspire, intrigue  and  engage, are fuel  for human  imagination. NutriAsia  has  always  been a very  strong  ally in shapeshifting the  imagination  of Filipino families  so  that  we  can claim  our  own   capacity  to  shape our  shared   futures. Playtales   has  once  again proven  that about  our longtime partnership with NutiAsia, said Maria Isabel Garcia, Managing  Director/Curator  of The Mind Museum.

Designed for families  with children  aged 5–10  years  old,  Playtales offers  a shared space for  learning,   curiosity,   exploration,  and   meaningful play  experiences.  The traveling  exhibition spans approximately 180–250 sqm  on venue  location.

Now   open  at   The  Mind  Museum  in  BGC,  Taguig   City,  Playtales:   Reimagining Tomorrows invites  families,  educators, and  young  explorers to  step into  a  world where the future is not only imagined—but actively created through play.

Operating   Schedule:   Open   Tuesdays   to   Sundays  from   9am   to   6pm   (closed
