As fuel costs bite, RCBC and SEAOIL give away two cars, one of which is electric.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) and SEAOIL Philippines, in partnership with digital fuel platform PriceLOCQ, have handed over two brand-new cars to a pair of lucky cardholders, wrapping up a joint fuel credit card promo, RCBC Credit Cards x SEAOIL VIP Smiles Race to Rewards Promo, that offered Filipino motorists a rare reprieve from rising pump prices.

Rommel Tadiar, an RCBC Landmark Anson’s Mastercard holder, won the BYD Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic in a category open to both RCBC and non-RCBC credit cardholders. The turnover was held at the SEAOIL C5 Pasig station on March 12.  With fuel prices continuing to climb, he said the hybrid vehicle came at the right time. “Using this technology, I’ll be able to get around without consuming too much fuel.”  A long-time loyal SEAOIL and PriceLOCQ user and RCBC cardholder, Tadiar said the card had served him well over two decades. “We’ve been using our RCBC credit card for 20 years. It has never let us down, whether here or abroad. We will keep using it.”

Randolf Ali Barberan, holder of an RCBC Flex Visa, took home a Honda Brio 1.2 RS Black Top CVT in the cardholder-exclusive category of the raffle. The awarding took place at Honda Greenhills.  Barberan, a mechanical engineer who regularly visits construction sites, said he plans to use the car daily. He said that he uses his card for almost everything, including groceries, food, travel, and gas. “There are a lot of benefits to credit cards that people don’t realize. It’s not just for emergencies. And I didn’t believe you could actually win something like this. Just use it responsibly.” Barberan also cited RCBC’s installment feature as a standout. “What I like about RCBC is that for big purchases, you can pay in installments. That really helps.”
