The project team of Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO) recently conducted a tree-planting activity at Pueblo de Oro Westwoods Heights in Barangay Tingga Itaas, Batangas City, underscoring the developer’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship in its residential communities.
Team members and partners planted pine trees within the development as part of ongoing efforts to help preserve green spaces and reinforce environmental awareness in the growing community.

Pueblo de Oro Westwoods Heights is a master-planned residential community spanning about 13 hectares and offering more than 500 house-and-lot units and open lots. The development integrates landscaped open areas, pocket parks, and a central green space designed to encourage outdoor activity and community interaction.
Sustainability as a foundation of community living
The tree-planting activity reflects Pueblo de Oro’s broader philosophy of integrating sustainability into community planning.
Developments such as Westwoods Heights are designed with open spaces, landscaped areas, and recreational amenities that help maintain ecological balance while supporting active and healthy lifestyles. At the project, around 40 percent of the development area is allocated to roads, parks, and other open spaces, enhancing both environmental quality and community livability.
“Our legacy is building communities, and our future is ensuring they remain green and sustainable,” said John Vincent Rapiz, Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Pueblo de Oro. “Activities such as tree planting reflect our commitment to creating communities that grow responsibly while providing long-term value for homeowners.”
As Batangas continues to grow as a regional economic center, developments that incorporate green spaces and responsible land use contribute to more sustainable patterns of urban growth.
Through initiatives like the recent tree-planting activity, Pueblo de Oro aims to demonstrate how residential developments can support both environmental responsibility and long-term community value.
