In keeping with its promise to safeguard Mother Earth, Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO) took part in a tree-planting program this month in Barangay San Gregorio in the municipality of Malvar, province of Batangas.
The tree-planting event was organized by the ICCP Group’s Green Committee in cooperation with the ICCP Group Foundation, Inc. (IGFI), Science Park of the Philippines, inc. (SPPI), Pueblo de Oro, and the local government of Barangay San Gregorio.

The ecological activity was attended by officers and staff from the ICCP Group and employees from Malvar Enerzone Corporation, PERSTIMA (Philippines) Inc., Monde Nissin and Farmesa Asia Pacific, Inc., locator-partners of SPPI from Light Industry & Science Park IV in Malvar, Batangas. PTA members of San Gregorio Elementary School and police personnel in the area also joined the tree planting.
On the recommendation of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Malvar, the volunteer group planted more than 300 saplings of fruit-bearing plants, including calamansi, avocado, rambutan, and jackfruit (langka).

Pueblo de Oro has consistently integrated environmental programs in each of its developments in Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Pampanga, and Batangas. These include regular tree planting activities, solid waste management, and support for e-vehicles and shuttles to cut down on emissions and waste – all planned to ultimately promote sustainability.
