The 10th Philippine Die and Mold Machineries and Equipment Exhibition (PDMEX), the most anticipated event in the manufacturing industry, commenced with a grand opening ceremony at the World Trade Center Metro Manila today.
The biennial exhibition, organized by PDMA, Inc. is set to run from August 23 to 26, 10am to 6pm with over 250 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies, innovations, and advancements in the die and mold sector. Companies from China, Singapore, Thailand, HongKong, and Korea are also participating.
“This exhibition is a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among industry professionals, experts, and enthusiasts. It is a gateway to explore groundbreaking solutions, establish strategic partnerships, and stay updated with the industry’s progress,” shares PDMA, Inc. President Mr. George Ong.
Serving as a catalyst in consolidating the efforts of the industry, the academe, and the government, the PDMEX opening ceremony was attended by Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General, Mr. Tereso Panga, Philippine Exporters Confederation President Mr. Sergio Ortiz-Luis, Jr., Department of Trade and Industry – Export Marketing Bureau Assistant Director, Dr. Jhino Ilano, and Department of Science and Technology – Metals Industry Research & Development Center Executive Director, Engr. Robert Dizon.
Delegates from the Federation of Asian Die & Mould Associations (FADMA), representatives from partner industry associations, and foreign ambassadors were also present. Cultural performances from the De La Salle University – Dasamariñas and a Parade of Colors by the San Pedro Relocation Center National High School were conducted as the event was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
In his Closing Remarks, Mr. Hector Villanueva Jr., Chairman of the PDMEX 2023, expressed his excitement and gratitude for the milestone event. “This 10th edition of the exhibition serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of our industry towards innovation and excellence.
